What I Learned this Week

It is time for me to get back into the swing of things. I have let to many things pass on the wayside, and that is changing. Life is (sort of) calming down...so I need to as well.

This week was filled with TONS of stuff to get done, but pretty much NONE of it got done. I jacked up my back pretty bad, so I am limited in what I could do. BUT, lessons were still learned.

I did learn that even when the kids are gone for a week, I still sleep like crap. I am more exhausted now then before they left.

They make waterproof casts, and they actually work. Boo had a cast change yesterday, and her purple cast DIDN'T stink...at ALL. I was amazed.

Painting stripes is a HUGE pain, but turns out pretty cool in the end.

Hubby thinks it's funny to write "U R Your Mothers Daughter" on Boo's new cast. She didn't think it was funny.

I don't like 12...just saying.

Physical Therapy is wonderful and awful at the same time. My back is feeling better if you get past the blinding pain that comes from getting to that point. I can't sit straight today...it is interesting.

Buying school supplies for a girl is not easy, they want the fancy stuff. It is hard telling her no, because I want it too.

Helping Lia with her wedding is consuming my brain. So many ideas, and I forget to write them down...not good.

Race to Witch Mountain is a good movie...even though Boo was scared at times she loved it too. You know there is a sequel in the works.

Physical therapy is evil! I think the therapists enjoy your pain just a bit too much...

What a week! Good luck with school and wedding things!

I have an 11 & 12 and it has been an interesting year as they start to relate to the world as pre-teens. Never a dull day!
