Box Tops Giveaway!!

The Giveaway is now closed. Congrat to Melissa of girlymama!

This post is sponsered by My BlogSpark

School is back in session, and kids are running wild! Well, not wild but like little people that have way too much energy to burn. Boo runs and JUMPS on her swing at least 5 times a night. I kid you not. I worry for the poor swing.

With the pent up energy, comes the need to snacks. Both of our kids would eat us out of house and home if we aren’t careful, but they do need something. We have the standards, fruit, veggies with dip and crackers. But some days require a special treat, something we don’t have very often.

My kids LOVE when we have Totino’s Pizza Rolls and Pillsbury Toaster Strudel for snacks. It is a rare treat, but one they relish every time. They are a quick snack, and filling so I won’t hear about hungry kids leading up to dinner time.

Plus, these products have Box Tops that you can clip for your school, and some even have bonus Box Tops! Like many parents, I am an avid clipper of Box Tops, so this was a huge thing for me. If you aren’t sure how Box Tops for Education works, head over here. It is a wonderful program that has raised a ton of money for Boo’s school.

Totino’s and Pillsbury have teamed up with Box Tops for Education for a great contest. You can enter daily to win 5,000 bonus Box Tops for your children’s school, and free Toaster Strudel and Pizza Rolls. PLUS, you can win school supplies from Avery, Box Tops new partner. We donated a lot of our supplies to Boo’s school. There are always classrooms in need of highlighters and glue sticks!

Win It!

Thanks to My BlogSpark I have one of these great gift packs to giveaway! You will win 1 Free coupon for Totino’s Pizza Rolls, 1 Free coupon for Pillsbury Toaster Strudel and some great school supplies. These supplies have up to 14 Box Tops for you to clip for your school!

The Rules:
There are three ways to enter!
- The Must – leave me a comment telling me your favorite thing about the start of school, either from growing up or shipping your kids back.
- Tweet the giveaway, leaving me a comment with your link.
- Become a fan of The Fritz Facts on Facebook. Leave me a comment letting me know you have or if you already are.

I will draw the winner on Sunday September 20th by noon.

Go...Now...Please

Last year, I bloggy-met Beth at I Should Be Folding Laundry. I met her, because Megan told me to head over and show some love.

Beth had just lost her twin boys, James and Jake. Her grief was something that we all felt, and we all circled around to help in any way we can.

Now, one year later we are all better people for knowing Beth, and for knowing James and Jake. We have watched Beth go through her grieving process, and lending an ear or a prayer each and every day.

Each of us has learned something about ourselves, from knowing Beth. I love my family more, hug my kids a bit tighter and cherish each moment, no matter how crazy it may be.

Right now, Beth's friend Thea is holding a contest of sorts. For every comment left, Thea will donate $1 to Beth's March of Dimes March for Babies campaign (up to $250). Not only that, but every comment is entered in to win a $50 gift card.

This is going on until tomorrow night, March 1, at 8 pm.

Go there.

NOW!

Please, for Beth, for James, for Jake, for the entire Folding Laundry family. They are an amazing group of people who have taught us all so much.

I need a Peek!

How many of us deal with mass e-mails piling up when we are out of town or just out of the house for a day? I spent three days away from the computer and when I finally had the chance to log in, I had over 150 e-mails. Groans were heard around the world.

Between both kids, working and now house shopping, my time is limited and precious. I wish I had something mobile that would allow me to stay in touch even on the run. I could check e-mails, log onto Twitter and send texts. This would allow so much more freedom, and less time at the computer each night.

Musing of a Housewife is giving away a Peek, and e-mail/texting device that would solve so many problems! Think of all I can get done in just minutes! Plus, there are no contracts…my two favorite words!

Head on over to Musings of a Housewife for more information!

the Music of the season

You had to know that I would tie music into the holidays right??

I mean come on.

Have we met?

Or are you new?? If you are...Hi! Welcome!

Anyway, back to the music of the season.

One of my favorite memories around Christmas time is from my freshman year of high school. This was the only year that Big Sis and I would be in the same school...EVER. We also were both in Choir, see more music.

For the holiday season all the choirs came together to sing Handel's Messiah. Man alive, that is some powerful music. Each Choir took a song and had it down cold for the concert. Then, together we all sang Hallelujah Chorus. The power of all the choirs was moving. (I can guarantee that right now, Big Sis is reading this, and singing. I am 100% positive on this one! I think I know which song too, but not completely sure on that one.)

There has always been music tied into holidays growing up. Whether it was the Elvis my dad blared when we got our first CD player, or watching Alvin and the Chipmunks Christmas movies and listening to the hilarious songs. Between being the choir and being at home, music was ingrained. I loved every minute of it.

Besides, who doesn't love Bing Crosby singing with David Bowie...that is one of my all time favorites. You should watch this if you have 4 minutes. They are both amazing. This is right up there with The Blenders. They are a Capella group that is from North Dakota but calls Minnesota home. They have some amazing voices, built for the wonderful holiday season.

So, in the music mood that I am in...I have a $15 itunes gift card to giveaway! How fun is that. You can buy your favorite Christmas music, or give it as a gift.

Now, the rules. There are two ways to enter this lovely giveaway...

1) - Leave me a comment letting me know your favorite holiday music. If you don't like holiday music I won't hold it against you, but tell me your favorite song of the moment.

2) Tweet about the giveaway will give you another entry. Make sure you have @FritzFactz if you tweet! If you aren't on twitter, that is okay. Blog about it instead. This will get you one extra entry.

Tune in Friday around noon for the winner! I will contact the winner via e-mail and order the gift card that same day. If I don't hear from the winner by Saturday at noon, I will draw another winner.

Boo's pick (giveaway)

I couldn't wait for tomorrow...just can't.

Every year, my kids have one thing that they REALLY want for Christmas. Last year for Boo it was craft stuff. Anything that had to do with crafts, Boo was happy. She got markers, glitter, paint, stickers, foam letters...the works. She was in hog heaven all day long.

This year...it is Webkinz. She was introduced to these during recital, when Hubby's mom and Aunt each got her a Webkinz to celebrate her recital. She hadn't had one before, and now...she is hooked.

Normally I try not to let the kids get to into fad toys. I can't stand Bratz dolls, don't like the action figures that Hunter never plays with anymore and never ever had a Tickle Me Elmo. But, Webkinz aren't as bad as I first thought. Online Boo is learning to save her Webkinz Cash for a big item, and is learning all kinds of fun math and reading facts in the trivia center.

Boo is allowed to play about 3 times a week, depending on what is going on. We have our routine, take a shower and then you can play on your Webkinz. It works, and she moves on smoothly without a fuss.

If you have never had a Webkinz, take a look at the tour they have on their home page. They also have a parent's area that explain all the safety features they have.

So, in honor of Boo's desire of new Webkinz, I am giving away a Lil'Kinz Lion.

There are a couple ways to enter the contest for this cute little guy. I really want to know what your kids are into this year. What toy have they been begging for?

That's one way. Tweet about this contest and you will get another entry. @FritzFactz, and leave another comment to get the entry.

This giveaway will close at 10 am Friday December 12th. I will e-mail the winner and ship the next available day. If I don't hear from the winner by noon on Saturday I will draw another winner.

Stay tuned for another giveaway on Wednesday!!

Vegas Baby!!!

We Are THAT Family's Sizzling Summer Vacation Spectacle Blog Carnival!!! I have been working on this post for weeks, and waiting a bit like a pain in the butt so patiently for this day to come!!

We didn't have any trips this summer. I didn't want to write about the cabin, because...well...I always do.

So I thought, I would give a new narrative to our trip last summer to Las Vegas.

It also is nice, because Big Sis and Brother-In-Law just celebrated their first wedding anniversary!! Woohoo!!

Our trip to Las Vegas was wonderful. It was full of family and friends, and some great new people that I met. We had four days in Sin City, and it will always be a trip to remember.

We stayed at Bally's which is attached to Paris. That in itself was special, because Ryan's cousin got engaged at the top of the Eiffel Tower at Paris.

The room was amazing, and the view was great. We had one small problem on day two with the water and construction, but otherwise it was great. There is a mini shopping center in the lower level, and that is where we found some great gifts for the kids and the people that were watching them.
The day before the wedding was a great day of site seeing, and doing touristy things.

We walked down to M&M World.

Oh My HEAVEN!! There were so many M&M's that it took two pictures to get the entire wall in.

One side was peanut

one plain

We had a great time looking at all the M&M memorabilia. They had things from when M&M's first came out, ones with the kids names on them and the Breast Cancer M&M's. It was wonderful.

We even did a little "factory" tour, and I took my picture with the Green M&M. Love the green M&M!!

As we walked back towards the hotel, we passed New York New York. They have the most amazing outdoor roller coaster. It was fun to watch the people going around, with the sky line in the back ground.

We also walked by the Harley Davidson Restaurant, where they have the best BBQ. We didn't get a chance to eat there, but have heard that from so many different people. They front of the restaurant is cool, the bike hanging off the building.

This day was a great day for us. It was Hubby, Me and My mom. The conversation and laughs are things I will never forget. While this was the first time I was away from the kids for more than two nights, the 4 days we had to be grown-ups, and be with family was well worth it.

Vacations are something few and far between in our house, with our without the kids. This trip was a wish of ours for so long. Big Sis getting married just kick started it for us.

Oh, and you know how everyone says "It's a dry heat". They are full of it! The day of the wedding...Las Vegas had the highest humidity level in a few years. I think we brought it with us from Minnesota...

Head on over to We Are THAT Family for more Sizzling Summer Vacations.

Check out the giveaways!

This week I have been very lucky. I have won two giveaways!! That never happens. It is very exciting though.

I won a wonderful gadget over at Eskimo Kisses, and I am so excited about it. She made a wonderful confession, she couldn't hang things level. Well, neither can I. It can be really quite sad. I tried the hang a picture a few weeks ago, and Hubby had to fix it...again. So she was giving away a Laser Straight Leveler!!

Sign me up!

And I won!

I can't wait to get it, and put it to wonderful use.

And the other...

Jody, of the wonderful Iowa Geek, was giving away 20 free 4x6 prints at an HP Photosmart Express Station and a CD full of photo activities and ideas for kids. I was excited about this one, since Boo has moved on from most of her computer activities, and I have a ton of pictures to print out. There are locations all over the state, so we will be taking care of that right way! lol

And speaking of Jody! It is time again for her fabulous Scrap bribing! This month she is giving away "Goodbye to Summer" package. The colors are light, and remind me of summer. There are papers, stamps, embellishments and a linen scrapbook.

Head on over to Iowa Geek and sign up. Don't forget to let her know I sent you!

There is another giveaway to let you know about. Musings of a Housewife is giving away a wonderful fabulous lovely Swede at Heart stamped piece. Head on over and check it out. This one ends tomorrow, so hurry hurry hurry!!

Thursday, July 17, 2008

Head on over!

Boogers and Burps (thanks to Pay it Forward Friday) is one of my favorite blogs. She is hilarious, and still keeps her sanity in a house of ALL BOYS (bless you my dear!!).

She is trying to give her Creative Memories business a jump start, and is holding a contest. Head on over to her blog for more details. Don't forget to tell her I sent you!!

Debt-Bribing

Normally Iowa Geek does a monthly scrap-bribing, which is so wonderful. But this month, she is giving something else away, something I have wanted for a long time.

Iowa Geek is giving away Dave Ramsey's Total Money Makeover and the Total Money Makeover Workbook. Iowa Geek is working the program, and making huge strides to become debt free.

Who doesn't have debt, and who doesn't want to get rid of it. Whether you are working towards your first home, or just the peace of mind, it is a process. How about some help?

Head on over to Iowa Geek and leave a comment to be entered. Let her know that I sent you!
