Goodbye to Summer

I am always amazed the wonders of technology. Right now, as I type this, I am messaging back and forth with Brooke...in Thailand...via Facebook. Love it!

Anyway.

This summer has been full of learning new things, adjusting to new things and finding new things in ourselves.

I have learned that I am so much stronger than I thought I was. That my husband is even more fabulous, and that my kids amaze me daily.

This summer Boo has learned to ride her bike, tie her shoes and dry her own hair. She has proven to herself that she can go to Grandpa's for a week (three different times) and have a great time, even she misses us. Boo also learned how to have her own part in the recession.

Hunter has grown so much this summer, and I don't mean just height wise either. He has come to terms with his own wants and needs, and grown so much as a person because of it. He learned the best way to eat watermelon, and earned the right to bring a friend to the cabin for the first time.

I can't believe that summer is coming to a close. This weekend we have two weddings, but next weekend...Labor Day Weekend...will be spent having some wonderful time together, sending summer out with a bang.

It is amazing how fast the summer's gone. I just realized it today. Scary.

Sounds like you've had a great time, though. And that's what counts.

Now I'm off to click on all of the links in your post!!

It's so nice that you take the time to reflect...I seem to just steamroll ahead without looking back. It's refreshing to see how much we've grown and changed, even in just a few months, isn't it? It sounds like you're headed for a fantastic fall!

I would love more summer vacation. Just a little bit longer! It just seems like it over so quickly.

Be blessed.

It goes way to fast, no? I know with me it goes even faster as the kids get older. *sigh*
