I was at a loss for this weeks assignment. I had no idea what to take pictures of, and didn't have a lot of time to take pictures either. As I looked at the few of this past week, I have two that bring up the most feelings, both frustration and joy.
First, we have the front of our house. With the road work that is taking place, there seems to be stuff everywhere. And our house, seems to be the dumping ground for all things concrete.
At first I was frustrated, it is simply not pretty. But then Boo said "Oh Mom...they must be so sad being dumped there". Then I felt less frustration and more in awe of my daughter.
Next we have the first time Boo is going through the sprinkler, I think ever. We set it up on Sunday and she had the best time. It made me think of all the times we would go through the sprinkler, down the slip'n'slide and even to the local pool as kids. So much joy comes from those memories.
Plus, hearing Boo scream because it was so cold was a bonus!

oh the cold sprinkler water...I don't miss it!
We learn so much from our children. That feels good. :)
Oh no, cold sprinkler! LOL!!
I used to love the sprinkler! Great shots!
Brrrrrr. Great shots. I agree this week was a hard one.
i love 'em good job.
Your pipes are just so neat! I'm mean, I would be frustrated too, but they make a great, complicated composition of interesting shapes and tones. Nice shot! Let that be your consolation!
I'm so sorry you have to look at the crap in your brand new front yard! Ugh!!! I do like Boo's perspective though. And running through the sprinkler is the best! Our kids have been doing alot of that this week!
WE haven't been quite hot enough to enjoy sprinklers yet this year, but I remember the feeling of shocking cold water on hot skin and screaming too! These kids of ours keep us young. Great shots!
dont you love the sprinkler, def. the best!!
great pictures...ive missed stopping by...im tryin so hard to get back on track.
The sprinkler and the slip-n-slide. Great memories. Great captures! :)
I don't think we could feel how cold the water was when we were young. I know my kid definitely gets into water that I wouldn't stick my big toe in!
Great captures!!
Sprinkler water is ALWAYS frigid, isn't it??? But on the hot hot days, it feels like magic. I can almost feel it now...
Come on over and check out what I posted about, Feeling Old.
We've been having construction next to our house and I have a port-a-potty in my front yard. Yours did make a nice photo! Hope they finish soon.
