Vegas Baby!!!

We Are THAT Family's Sizzling Summer Vacation Spectacle Blog Carnival!!! I have been working on this post for weeks, and waiting a bit like a pain in the butt so patiently for this day to come!!

We didn't have any trips this summer. I didn't want to write about the cabin, because...well...I always do.

So I thought, I would give a new narrative to our trip last summer to Las Vegas.

It also is nice, because Big Sis and Brother-In-Law just celebrated their first wedding anniversary!! Woohoo!!

Our trip to Las Vegas was wonderful. It was full of family and friends, and some great new people that I met. We had four days in Sin City, and it will always be a trip to remember.

We stayed at Bally's which is attached to Paris. That in itself was special, because Ryan's cousin got engaged at the top of the Eiffel Tower at Paris.

The room was amazing, and the view was great. We had one small problem on day two with the water and construction, but otherwise it was great. There is a mini shopping center in the lower level, and that is where we found some great gifts for the kids and the people that were watching them.
The day before the wedding was a great day of site seeing, and doing touristy things.

We walked down to M&M World.

Oh My HEAVEN!! There were so many M&M's that it took two pictures to get the entire wall in.

One side was peanut

one plain

We had a great time looking at all the M&M memorabilia. They had things from when M&M's first came out, ones with the kids names on them and the Breast Cancer M&M's. It was wonderful.

We even did a little "factory" tour, and I took my picture with the Green M&M. Love the green M&M!!

As we walked back towards the hotel, we passed New York New York. They have the most amazing outdoor roller coaster. It was fun to watch the people going around, with the sky line in the back ground.

We also walked by the Harley Davidson Restaurant, where they have the best BBQ. We didn't get a chance to eat there, but have heard that from so many different people. They front of the restaurant is cool, the bike hanging off the building.

This day was a great day for us. It was Hubby, Me and My mom. The conversation and laughs are things I will never forget. While this was the first time I was away from the kids for more than two nights, the 4 days we had to be grown-ups, and be with family was well worth it.

Vacations are something few and far between in our house, with our without the kids. This trip was a wish of ours for so long. Big Sis getting married just kick started it for us.

Oh, and you know how everyone says "It's a dry heat". They are full of it! The day of the wedding...Las Vegas had the highest humidity level in a few years. I think we brought it with us from Minnesota...

Head on over to We Are THAT Family for more Sizzling Summer Vacations.

I've never been to Las Vegas and I've always wanted to go.

And M&M Heaven? Yes, that's what dreams are made of.

I mean, really, my dreams are made of an M&M rainbow :D

The M&M store was my favorite in Las Vegas too. And sometimes just leaving the kids for a couple days is worth the mental rejuvenation!

This is what I have to say about "dry heat" . . . . your stove is dry heat, too, and you wouldn't stick your head in there, now would you?? We went to Las Vegas last year for a wedding. They're already divorced and I ended up hating Vegas. Oh well.

But I did like the M & M place and the lobby of the Bellagio!

Ah... the infamous New York New York rollercoaster... where my husband lost his $350 cell phone because it fell out of his pocket.

And I so agree about the dry heat...

Sounds like a great time! My hubby and I are supposed to go there either in Feb or April. I'm a wreck about leaving the kids so I think I'll be coming to for advice on how to get through it!!

Maybe I DO need to go to Las Vegas, if only to go swimming in some M&M goodness!

Las Vegas has never really been high on my list of places to visit but the M&M's may have moved it up the list a bit. Looks like y'all had fun.
