In the News

A lot has happened in the past week. James Brown passed away after being admitted to the hospital for Pneumonia.
Saddam Hussein was executed after his last efforts for appeals fell through. The Iraqi government had until January 27th to complete the execution, but chose not the wait.
Finally, Former President Gerald Ford passed away at the age of 93. He was the 38th president, and game into office after Nixon resigned amid the Watergate scandal. President Ford later pardoned Nixon of his crimes, a move that is said the cause his bid for reelection in 1976.
In August 1999 Ford received the Medal of Freedom. This the nations highest civilian award. That same year he also won the Congressional Gold Medal.
He was a President who never minced words, and always spoke his mind. He will be remembered as a President who took risks, and did what was best for his country.
