So Madonna is adopting a 1 year old from Africa...Great. Very glad she is doing it. I am disappointed in the craze that surrounds it though. I have a friend here at work that has adopted not one, but two little boys from Korea in the past 18 months. Both boys were in an orphanage from the day they were born, along with hundreds of other children. Where is the media hype surrounding her and her husband?? What about all the people on waiting lists for children locally? Where is the media hype? I had a friend growing up that was a foster mother, on top of raising 4 kids. Where is her aclaim? My best friend growing up was adopted...what about her parents?
Drives me nuts! Look local if you want heros to talk about.
