Safety First

Spring has finally landed in Minnesota. All week we have had wonderfully gorgeous weather. It has been hard to go back to work after lunch. We have hit the 70's almost everyday, which is a nice break from long drawn out winter we had this year.

With the wonderful weather comes camping, sports, fishing and lots of time at the cabin. We ride bikes, skateboard and swim. We spend a great deal of time outdoors, before the humidity drives us back in.

With all the fun outdoor activities, comes the everyday health risks they impose. With riding bikes and skateboards, there are helmets and pads to ease when you fall. With camping, fishing and cabin time, there is sun screen and bug repellent. And with swimming there is sun screen and other pool/lake safety.

Over the next couple weeks, I will feature a common outdoor activity. I will pinpoint new things, and go over the old stand-by safety. There are so many new safety options, from the expensive to simple things you change. I will also list great websites that carry safety tips and products.

I also would love to hear your safety tips, ones that you learned when you became a parent, and ones that you were taught growing up. You can comment on this post, or any other safety post as they come along. At the end, I will compile a big list of "Blogger Safety Tips" for the last post.

I am looking forward to learning new tips, and I hope you will too!

Stay tuned...
