Home again

We are home from a long weekend at the cabin. A 3 hour ride was 5 hours (stupid traffic), but well worth it. We got there in time to unload the car, play outside for an hour and watch a movie.

We learned many things this weekend:

• rocks hurt when you hit yourself in the head with on


• Grasshoppers will pee on you when they are angry


• You can make an omelet in a bag over a fire (more on this one later)

The weather was great, sun almost all day every day. We had a bit of rain yesterday, and it only pushed us inside for about an hour or so (you can still grill under the umbrella though).

The kids spring cleaned the playhouse and then spent almost no time in there the rest of the weekend. The bugs weren't to bad yet, with the exception of Ticks. We did checks every two hours as we reapplied sunscreen. I lotioned up the kids, and forgot to get myself, so my arms are a lovely shade of red.

The bird were singing, the frogs singing in their own way and the hummingbirds were buzzing around. It was a great weekend! I can't wait for the next one.
