K102 Morning Show

I have been listening to K102 for as long as I can remember. I grew up with John Hines on WLOL way back. My brother played softball on the Hines family softball team, as he was best friends with one of John's younger family members. John has always been close to crossing a line, as most dejays are, but he has never gone so far over that there would be problems, as least not in my memory. A few weeks ago, John Hines crossed a line, a very big line. In comments regarding John Voight and his relationship with Angelina Jolie, he called her middle child, Zahara, a "Chocolate Monkey". In any context, this is not okay. I was greatly offended by the comment, as were others that have filed complaints with the FCC. I have not. However, I will not be listening to K102 until John Hines has been punished for this slanderous racist remark about another human being. If Bert Blyleven can be suspended for swearing, then John Hines should be for his remark. Even with his "apology" punishment should come down, and should be done so without the FCC having to come into the situation. Clear Channel should be above the line when it comes to their employees conduct.
